For Sale: 1953 Aston Martin DB2 Drophead Coupe

Only around 100 DB2 Drophead Coupes were built by Aston Martin and outside coachbuilders. This factory RHD model was one of the last 50 built. It has been extensively restored and is now ready to be enjoyed by a new owner. What a great car for the New England 1000 or Colorado Grand!

The interior is gorgeous and very comfortable. Plenty of room for baggage in the rear compartment.

The 2.6-liter double overhead cam engine is fully rebuilt. While not the original engine, it is correct for this model and runs very nicely. The gearbox (which is original) has been rebuilt by Steel Wings and operates as well as any David Brown 4-speed that you will find.

The colors chosen for this car include a custom blended and beautiful shade of deep non-metallic blue. The canvasse top is tan. As can be seen in the photo, the saddle leather is a perfect compliment.

Grand Prix champion Phil Hill once said of the DB2, " the Aston handles as well as any sports car I've driven, far better than any passenger car...the DB2 handles like a dream." The combination of performance, comfort and understated style is hard to beat.

With the top raised or lowered,this DB2 epitomizes sporting elegance. This is a well turned-out example that will be welcome at all sorts of vintage events and tours.
